SRC UK has welcomed Edward Cox as Chief Technical Officer
In this position, Ed will guide SRC UK in delivering technical solutions, enabling the effective data and service provision to UK Defence in order to meet the challenges of Operating in the ever evolving complex, congested and contested battlespace.
Ed is a highly versatile engineer with over 24 years experience in the demanding environment of the Royal Air Force, with 17 years in Electronic Warfare, innovation and the delivery of complex engineering projects. He has extensive experience in the provision of Mission Data from reprogramming to managing multi-disciplined teams within UK STRATCOM and as the Military technical expert in the delivery of new EW equipment procurement and the development of reprogramming solutions. Renowned for having the ability to apply intelligence to adapt and innovate solving complex problems efficiently in a unique engineering and scientific environment, Ed has spent the last 7 years of his service career as the Lead Technical SME on project JANUS and was the technical expert overseeing the effective capture of requirements and philosophical changes required to successfully deliver capability, ensuring the underlying architecture and detailed design were accurate. During this work Ed was the Technical authority for studies into future capability enhancement leading to concept changes which will revolutionise the art and science of electronic warfare data exchange. Ed holds a Bachelors First Class Honours in Electronic Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University.
